We are an NGO whose objective is to restore the identity of children who were
appropriated during the last civic-military dictatorship in Argentina.
This project aims to support the operation of the Spontaneous Presentations area of the
Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo by providing financial support for a part-time staff
member for four months. This role is key to receiving and supporting those with
questions about their biological origin, beginning the process of analyzing each case,
and making appropriate referrals to the appropriate state agencies and laboratories.
With the constant demand for spontaneous presentations and the recent cuts in state
support, having these resources will ensure the proper functioning of this task,
strengthen the confidence of those with questions about their identity, and sustain the
primary mission of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, which has been carried out
since 1977.
